Blue Sanitary Ware awarded with three German Design Awards

The German Design Award is the international premium prize of the German Design Council. Its goal: discovering, presenting and awarding unique design trends. Every year, top-quality submissions from product and communication design are awarded, all of which are in their own way ground-breaking in the international design landscape.

This year the council awarded Blue Sanitary Ware and three of their products: The SX and DN Series shower enclosures won special mentions in excellent product design bath and wellness, while the DT Series door handles were awarded „Winner“ in the same class. Here’s what the jury had to say about the special mentions: „Thanks to its elegant profile and fittings, the design of this shower stall [SX] has a clear and minimalist look that blends seamlessly into contemporary bathroom decors.“ and „The fact that this cabinet door [DN] closes automatically is an agreeably gentle experience for the user. A practical function that’s also discretely integrated into the subtle frame element.“ Furthermore they described the winning DT series as an „elegant handle that’s beautiful by dint of its slender and well-proportioned shape – plus, its excellent ergonomics make it easy on the hand.“

Along with the German Design Team and Mr. Maier-Hunke (CEO of Durable and honorary President of the national union of business associations North Rhine-Westphalia) Blue Sanitary Ware’s CEO Wuxiang Wei accepted the awards in Frankfurt, Germany.
